After Saginaw Valley took the first set 26-24, the Warriors won the next two before the Cardinals took set four. Saginaw Valley won the fifth-and-deciding set by a 16-4 score.

WSU went on a 10-4 run and took the set, 15-9.
Gosselin had 20 kills and was the first to reach that mark since Miranda Robison in 2006. Katy Westenberg totaled 45 assists.
The Lakers are sixth in the GLIAC North Division, but Warrior coach Phil Nickel told his team not to take them lightly.
"You can't take anybody for granted," Nickel said.
Wayne State heads north for two matches October 11 and 12 against Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan.
"We have to be prepared because they are two very good teams," senior Kim Gear said.
