Alpha Kappa Alpha poetry night

The Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority presented a night of poetry and song on Oct. 8 in General Lectures, celebrating its 100th anniversary and being the first black Greek sorority.

Amateurs and developed poets filled the room with poetic vibes and lyrical melodies.

Brent ‘Blaksmith’ Smith hosted and opened the show with a piece of slam poetry to which much of the audience responded favorably.
