Zack and Miri is one of the raunchiest romantic comedies to date, but underneath the sex, bad language, and nudity is something surprisingly sweet and wholesome.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno is the eighth film written and directed by Kevin Smith , and is the best work in his 14-year career.

Zack Brown (Seth Rogan) and Miri Linky (Elizibeth Banks) are two roommates that can’t make rent and are close to being evicted from their apartment. To save themselves from living on the street, Zack and Miri decide to write, cast, act, and direct a porno movie.

Rogan and Banks have great chemistry on screen and you really start to relate and care about them by the end of the movie, this is due mostly to the clever dialogue.

The conversations are funny but the obscene language may turn some people off. Seth Rogan plays the same “loser/stoner” role just like in Knocked Up; he does well but I would like to see him play a role out of his element.

The sex scenes is where the movie really shines, they are all done with a comedic tone and tend to shy away from the erotic side. It parodies how sex is in movies in such a bizarre way you can’t help but laugh.

Zach and Miri may be filthy, but it does the romantic part of things well; it will have you choking back tears by the film's conclusion.

Each major scene in the film has expertly-picked music, it's guaranteed it will provoke some sort of emotional reaction.

Zack and Miri is the best comedy I have seen this year. I recommend it to everyone who can stomach the mature themes, but be careful seeing this one on a first date, you don’t want to give the wrong impression.
