Young R&B artist Marcus Cooper, better known as Pleasure P, performed at the Phoenix Theater Saturday, November 8, 2008, in support of Coat for Kids.

The girls went bananas, as Gwen Stefani would say, as he performed his hit single “I Did You Wrong.”

He took pictures, shook hands and showed mad love to all of his fans.

Cooper’s reasoning for his song “I did you wrong” is very positive. He personally relates himself to his song, about how he had a wonderful relationship with a great woman and just because they had problems doesn’t mean they should’ve departed.

He continuously says in the song “the easiest thing to do is leave.” The only lingering question is why he chose to leave the R&B group Pretty Ricky.

Not long ago, Cooper departed from the group, and is currently involved in a lawsuit against the group. He does not speak too much or thoroughly about their relationship.

He says that chapter of his life is closed and is very enthusiastic about his new album that he is currently working on entitled “Marcus Cooper.”

However, he does sincerely apologize to all his fans for the lie the group told about them all being brothers.

He said he is from the same rough neighborhood many artists are from; he had a child at a young age and had served time in jail as well.

He stressed how fortunate he is to have his new found success, coming from such a background.
