On Friday, Feb. 15, Atwater Block Brewery will host a benefit for the victims of the Forest Arms fire.

Nearly a week after the Forest Arms fire, residents and businesses of the apartments are finding themselves in dire financial straits. Some are left with few or damaged possessions while all seem to be dealing with feelings of shock and despair.

To lend support to these victims, Atwater Block Brewery will be hosting a benefit party on Friday, Feb. 15. With a suggested minimum $5 donation, the brewery will be swarming with treats. Featured performers of the evening include Los Minstrels del Diablo, A Stowaway, DJs Milieau, dirty D, Cirque, JOHNb and the People's Records DJs. Also on the bill is entertainment from Tim TV and belly dancing by Chantal.

Atwater is home to some of the finest award-winning brews in the city. With a full-scale brewery in house, guests can enjoy smooth and light ales to dark and devilishly delicious lagers (check out the Voodoo Vator). You can grab a warm spot by Atwater's fireplace or put down a few cold ones at their impressively oversized bar that faces the brewery and its busy brewmeister .

With a tasty menu of cooked-to-order items, Atwater boasts a bevy of appealing appetizers. Try their homemade salsa and perfectly salted chips or their tangy barbeque chicken quesadillas. Other popular menu items include the Bleu Cheeseburger, a variety of fresh wraps adorned in soft lawash and the homemade beer-cheese soup that uses Atwater's Hell Pale Lager.

Friday night will be brimming with good beats, eats and brews, so gather up your crew of beer-lovers, dancing divas or fun connoisseurs and reach out.

Located off Jefferson Avenue at 237 Joseph Campau St., Atwater Block Brewery is just minutes from campus.
